  1. Get safe first

    Move out of traffic if the car still drives, put the hazards on, and call 911 if anyone is hurt.

  2. Photograph everything

    Wide shots of the whole scene and close ups of every damaged area, on both vehicles. Include plates and the road.

  3. Exchange details

    Name, phone, insurance company and policy number, plate and driver licence. A photo of their documents is faster than writing.

  4. You choose the shop

    Your insurer can recommend a shop, but the choice of who repairs your vehicle is yours. Call us before you commit to anything.
